Karl Battle is a technology strategist and engineering leader with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of software development, analytics, and applied research. Currently serving as an Engineering Product Manager at a global advisory firm, he leads the design and deployment of intelligent systems that advance innovation across sectors. His work has resulted in patented technologies and data-driven solutions for both private enterprise and public institutions.
A former U.S. Army Paratrooper, Karl began his career in the 82nd Airborne Division and U.S. European Command. Following his military service, he brought his technical acumen to local government in Minnesota, where he championed the use of modern engineering and data science to inform civic decision-making. Karl has contributed to initiatives at all levels of government and has worked with Fortune 500 companies through digital modernization. He holds both an M.S. and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, where he attended on the G.I. Bill. He continues to advise University-affiliated startups on software and digital capabilities. Deeply committed to civic leadership, he has served on the boards of Bunker Labs – Minneapolis and the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota & North Dakota Foundation, advocating for veteran entrepreneurship and ethical business innovation.
